After many months documenting the strenuous journeys of countless asylum-seeking people making their way across the treacherous Aegean Sea, through Greece and into wider Europe - I was able to showcase my project; At the Gates of Europe, at the Kulturzentrum Reitschule in Bern, Switzerland alongside other talented photographers who had documented the plight of those seeking safety.

The exhibition was received well overall, with admission ticket proceeds going to the organisation 'Open Eyes Balkanroute' whom I worked closely with in Greece when involved in food distribution projects, in which they assisted us generously and kept countless people fed for months, as well as the migrant charity 'Help Refugees' now formally known as 'Choose Love'. Many of my prints were also sold to individual buyers, with most of the income also going back to Open Eyes. As my first public exhibition, this of course left me very happy indeed, as this persisting issue is very close to my heart.
